At The Rissington School, the classes are named after Royal Air Force aircraft, in recognition of the RAF base at Upper Rissington and the close association the area has with the RAF.  

The class structure is as follows: 

Reception:  Hawk Class and Hurricane Class   (located on the Upper Rissington Site)

Key Stage 1:   Vulcan Class (Years 1/2, located on the Great Rissington Site)

                        Harrier Class (Years 1, located on the Upper Rissington Site)

                       Spitfire Class (Years 2, located on the Upper Rissington Site)

Lower Key Stage 2:   Phantom Class (Years 3/4, located on the Great Rissington Site)

                                      Hercules Class (Years 3, located on the Upper Rissington Site)

                                      Note Y4 at UR are taught in Lancaster Class alongside Y5, see below

Upper Key Stage 2:  Tornado Class (Years 5/6, located on the Great Rissinton Site)

                                     Lancaster Class (Years 4/5, located on the Upper Rissington Site)

                                     Typhoon Class (Years 6, located on the Upper Rissington Site)
